What is giclee?
Giclee is a form of ink that is resistant to fading, it provides smoother transitions between colors giving you a softer, more beautifully clear picture. It is typically used and sold with many different paper bases such as photo paper, water color paper, cotton canvas, and artist textured vinyl. It is a digital print used to make fine art. You can find giclee being represented in fine art galleries and print shops.
What are the benefits of Giclee printing?
These giclee print art works are extremely fade resistant. They do not discolor with age when taken care of properly. As canvas prints, they can be used in keeping and preserving ones own art while at the same time offering a high quality art style to artists for selling your pieces, when you do not find it possible to create and distribute work by hand in a time consuming manor.
What can I do with Giclee prints?
Whether you are purchasing or distributing the giclee artworks you are open to an endless opportunity based art type. You can take images from your own life taken memories and create murals of your families most precious moments as photos on canvas, to creating and distributing high end business ads and banners for boosting consumer numbers in your company. You are not limited to size or quantity. You could even make modeling photography in giant proportions with printed signatures for fan ordered distribution. What wouldn’t seem better then a beautiful clear face on every Childs wall. You could even order small copies of these giclees for high quality magazine goodies.
Nothing screams professional like Giclee Print fine art.
Are There Any Cons to Giclee Printing?
What are the cons of Giclee printing?
Simply their is only 2 cons to buying Giclee.
1. You will not get the original copy of the peice of art. You along with everyone else will get the same copies of the work you order. An equal opportunity purchase. This is not including the possability of missprints which may become more valuable then original prints, along with different generations of products. *This does mean even giclee canvas prints can become collectable overtime. But not everyones.
2. You cannot get a piece of giclee art in which feel like actual paintings and oils when printing on canvas. Since giclee comes straight from a canvas printing machine the picture will be even and flat. Which can have its benefits. But unlike paintings it will not have stroke bumps and peices which come out of the picture like dried plant and doll art.
All in all, if your looking for cheap mass distribution opportunities. You cannot go wrong with Giclee. A canvas print, a photo on canvas - they are all amazing. Its time and quality efficiant.
